Macanese Egg Tarts.

Originating from Macau, an island near Hong Kong, these tarts are similar to Pasteis de Nata, the Portuguese egg tart.

A puff pastry base is blind baked in a muffin tin, then filled with an egg custard made simply from eggs, caster sugar, milk, and double cream.
